Disney World

Disney World was so much fun!  We left Sunday morning and got to our campsite in Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort by early afternoon.  We got our camper set up and then did a little exploring around the campground. You should have seen all the Halloween decorations.  It was amazing what people brought with them to decorate their campsite and golf carts.  Sunday evening we took a bus to downtown Disney.  We ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, did some shopping at the huge Disney store, and checked out the Legos store.

Monday morning we woke up to rain.  Thankfully, we were prepared and had brought rain jackets with us.  We got soaked on the boat that took us from the Fort Wilderness Resort to Magic Kingdom, but the rain didn't last long.  By the time we took our family picture in front of the castle it had passed.  Since it was raining so hard when we left our camper, I decided not to take our nice camera with us for the day.  So most of our Magic Kingdom photos were taken with my phone and are not the best quality.  Anyway, we played at Magic Kingdom then went back to our campsite so the kids could change into their Halloween costumes.  Then we headed back to Magic Kingdom that evening for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party.

Tuesday we started the day at Animal Kingdom.  We had a great time on the Kilimanjaro Safari.  We also rode a fun water ride and roller coaster.  In the afternoon we headed over to Epcot.  Ian says his favorite park was Epcot.  He is such a little nerd. :)  We rode some space ride that made me sick.  Of course everyone else loved it.  For my birthday dinner we ate at Tutto Italia in the Italy section of the World Showcase.  After dinner, we saw Hanson performing their famous MMMbop song in an open arena.  That was a surprise and it was fun to dance around a little.

We went to Disney's Hollywood Studio's on Wednesday.  We rode the Hollywood Tower of Terror, which I don't care to ride ever again.  My favorite ride was the Aerosmith Rock 'n' Roller coaster.  It was a blast!  We saw a couple of little shows - Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.  Then we rode a fun Toy Story ride that was like a big arcade game.  We ate lunch at a DisneyJr. Play 'n Dine restaurant.  After lunch,  Chris took Ian and Lia to an Indiana Jones show and I hung out with Ali while she napped in the stroller.  Then we took a tour of the back lot.  Since it was our last day, we decided to head back over to Magic Kingdom to see the parade and to get a few more autographs from the Disney characters.

I was so impressed with how clean and nice the campground was and the parks as well.  The bathrooms were always clean and there was one close whenever you needed it.  We rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes for a ride and the weather was perfect.  Except for the short rain on Monday.

One of my favorite moments was when we first got to Magic Kingdom on Monday.  We had gone into the little store at the entrance to Magic Kingdom and Ian and Lia spotted the autograph books.  They each picked one out and I picked a pink princess one out for Ali because she was sitting in the stroller and was not paying attention to what Ian and Lia were doing.  Chris paid for the books.  The check out lady put each book into its own bag for the kids since it was still raining a bit outside.  Chris handed the bag to Ali.  When she took the book out of the bag her little face just lit up and she oohed and aahed over it.  It was so sweet.

All of us had such a great time.  Chris and I were sitting outside our camper on our last morning drinking coffee and he said he was not expecting to like Disney World.  He had just told himself we were doing it for the kids.  Well, that turned out not to be the case. :)  There is so much we couldn't get to and we are looking forward to our next trip!

Ian and Lia's favorite ride in Epcot.  They got to program the ride before they went in and they thought that was so cool.
