Train Ride

Ian and Lia's school takes a train ride each year from Springdale to Rogers and today was the big day. I took Ian last year and Lia was sad that she did not get to go so she was very excited that she got to ride on the train today. Chris did not have to work this morning so he came along too. It turned out to be a very long train ride. We were to meet at the train depot at 9:30 and leave at 10. We were scheduled to be back in Springdale by 11 or 11:15. Well, it was more like 10:30 or 10:45 by the time the train started moving towards Rogers. The trip up to Rogers went well, but on our way back we had to make several stops for other trains to pass and we ended up hanging out on the train for hours. Thankfully, the school brought snacks for the kids. But, it was a little after 1 by the time we were able to get off the train and everyone was hungry and tired and the kids could not keep still any longer. The whole experience was not bad, but we will probably not be taking the train ride next year!
