Ice Skating

Chris and I took the kids ice skating last night at The Jones Center. We had a blast! There were quite a few more people there than I was expecting. I was thinking a handful, but there were well over a hundred. Chris and I have not ice skated since high school so we were a little rusty. But it came back to us pretty quickly. At one point though, Chris was holding Lia's hand when she fell which caused Chris to fall right on top of her. Poor girl. All she could say was "daddy, you are hurting my back". :) She got tired after a few times around the rink, but Ian could have stayed longer. He was really enjoying himself and was even skating by himself at the end. We were very proud of him because he fell many times and did not cry once. He just got back up and tried again. As we were leaving he informed Chris and I that he was ready to join the hockey team.

HOW FUN!!!!! What a great idea! I've never even thought about taking the kids ice skating. I'm happy to know that they are ready for it at that age. That sounds like a blast.
