Ian is looking a little like a jack-o-lantern these days. Both of his front teeth have been loose and I was really hoping they would both come out at the same time so he could avoid this awkward and strange look he is sporting. But of course that did not happen. He has lost seven teeth in all and he is happy about the cash the tooth fairy has been leaving him under his pillow. He especially loves moving his loose teeth around with his tongue and getting a rise out of me. Yuck! I can't stand to look at them dangling around in his mouth. :)
I have also had teeth issues lately. It seems after every pregnancy I have to have some type of dental work done. It must be the hormones. I had to have my first crown a few weeks back and today I had a root canal!! For some reason my front left tooth started to turn grey and my dentist did not have an explanation. Did I have trauma to the tooth when I was a child? Maybe the braces I wore caused it to happen. Both were possibilities. My dentist sent me to an Endodontist and he couldn't explain it either. He recommended I get a root canal so the tooth would not continue to grey and so they would be able to bleach the tooth back to its normal color. I have to say, I was very nervous about the procedure. But is really was not that bad. I did not have any pain. The hardest part was listening to all the weird sounds. I have to go back in a couple of weeks to make sure everything looks good and then to my dentist for the permanent filling. I will be so glad when all these dental appointments are behind me!

Isn't it funny how kids LOVE to lose their teeth and they don't mind that they look so funny???
