Zoo Field Trip

The second graders went on a field trip to the Columbia zoo today. Columbia is over 2 hours away and I was not able to go with Ian. They only allowed two chaperons per class and they were chosen by a lottery. I did not get chosen. Plus, for the safety of the students, parents were not able to follow the bus in their own vehicles. So, it has been a long and stressful day for me. One of my friends even lent me a flip phone to give to Ian so he could call me if there was an emergency. Poor kid. He had to deal with a bulky phone in his pocket all day and keep it a secret too. Well, I am happy to say everything went well and he had a really fun time at the zoo. Watching them grow up is so hard!
