New York City - Day 1

Chris and I left very early last Thursday morning and flew to New York City. The kids stayed home with the grandparents. Thank you, grandparents! It was the first time either one of us has been to NY. We had 2 1/2 days to cram everything in and it just was not enough time!

New York was crazy, beautiful, loud, tight, amazing, overwhelming, fast, bright, energized, big and cold! I am ready to go back. Preferably, in the summer.
After we got our things settled at the hotel, we walked over to Rockefeller Center. We had lunch at a nearby deli and then waited in line for a cupcake from Magnolia Bakery. Yummy! Then we walked to Macy's to check out the window displays. We checked out all the floors (there were 7, I believe). The children's clothing floor had a McDonald's. I don't see how anyone could shop. There were so many people.
Next, we walked over to the Empire State Building. Thankfully, there was not a line to get to the top. The views were amazing, but it was so cold! On our way back to our hotel, we stopped at Bryant Park and had dinner.

Chris got some great pictures from the top of the Empire State Building.

We ate dinner at Celsius. It is the building with the blue lights.
