The Kids Rooms

Since we found out we were having a new baby girl we have made some changes upstairs. I finally got the baby's room finished so I thought I would post some pictures of all the kids rooms. Ian moved over to the former guest room and was super excited to have his own bathroom. He wanted a camo bedspread and he also has a gun rack and hunting photos on the wall.

Lia stayed in her old room but requested that we paint it pink. I was hesitant, but it really turned out nice. These pictures make it look really overwhelming, but it is not so bold in person. Or maybe I have just gotten used to it. :) She loves it!!

The baby's room

My mom made the crib bedding and I love how it turned out
I got the idea to make these two canvas art pieces from a blog I like to read. The original piece I saw on the blog was made with circles, but I changed it up and created butterflies and flowers. They are super easy to make. I picked out scrapbook paper in colors that matched the baby's bedding and then used a stencil to make the butterflies and flowers. Then I glued them on the canvas and sealed the canvas with Mod Podge.
I asked Ian and Lia to color a picture for the baby's room. Ian copied a picture from a book we have - the rainbow and rabbit in the row boat. And Lia drew our family.
