"Bug Bonanza"

The Fayetteville Public Library held a "Bug Bonanza" this morning so the kids I went to check it out. We learned all about bees and saw many preserved butterflies, moths, beetles, flies and other insects. Ian got a spider painted on his hand, Lia a butterfly. And we waited in a very long line so that Ian could get his funny balloon hat and Lia could get her single heart balloon. We also saw a huge hissing cockroach - yuck!! Lia even touched it, but Ian decided he would rather not.

Learning about bees
Checking out bug wings under the microscope
The Madagascar Hissing Cockroach
Eating a honey stick
JoJo the clown
Checking out the beehive
