Gingerbread House

Ian was running a slight fever this morning and was not able to go to school today. And, the weather is just yucky and gloomy out. So, we decided to make a gingerbread house today. Thankfully, I bought the kit and had put it away for a day such as this. I have to say that it is a lot harder than it looks to make an attractive house. And it takes lots of patience too, which none of us really had this morning. Of course, it looks nothing like the photo on the box. The kids were more interested in eating the candy than decorating the house.
The finished product
About 5 minutes after we completed the gingerbread house, Ian runs and tells me that the house had totally collapsed. Oh well, the kids were happy. I let them eat part of the house; which was what they had wanted to do the entire time we were making it. :)
